It’s National Apprenticeship Week 2022 and Ben Taylor Brett is the latest to join an already illustrious groupof apprentices to join SVL and further their career in I.T and Telecommunications.
The former CalderGlen High (East Kilbride) pupil started his Modern Apprenticeship last summer, training with ourselves and world-leading technical and digital skills agency QA
Ben is currently undertaking a 2 year programme (although if his current progress is anything to go by he’ll finish well before that deadline) of continuous learning combined with on-the-job training.
He said, “ I’m loving every minute of my time here at SVL and learning so much. I have been working on our ServiceDesk, communicating with a huge range of our clients and our engineering team. I’ve had the chance to work with external professionals in partner companies to arrange client support and also been involved in SVL’s I.T Infrastructure upgrade over the last 6 months. It has been brilliant to work with such a supportive team”
SVL Support Manager Catriona Connelly couldn’t be more proud of what Ben has already achieved.
“Ben has been a joy to work with since he joined us. He is working so hard during his training and his assessor from QA is absolutely delighted with his progess. It’s great to see someone with such an enthusiasm for his job learning so quickly and fitting in with the team around him.”
Ben’s ambition is to build on his current qualification and as well as moving onto becoming a fully qualified Telecoms Engineer, he is keen to become a Cloud practitioner, having enjoyed his experiences working with the AWS platform.
