We’re delighted to announce that SVL Business Solutions has joined FourNet, the Manchester-headquartered customer experience and AI transformation partner.

Founded as Sinclair Voicenet in 1967, SVL has been supporting organisations with contact centre technology for almost 60 years. From our Glasgow headquarters, our team provides technology and services that help organisations enhance customer and employee experiences.

Joining FourNet marks an exciting new chapter for SVL, bringing together two businesses that have worked alongside each other for nearly a decade, including supporting shared customers in mission-critical public safety services.

For our customers, this means continuing to work with the same trusted SVL team, whilst benefiting from access to FourNet’s wider expertise and capabilities in customer experience, AI and cybersecurity.

Building on our expertise

SVL works with organisations across enterprise, financial services, utilities and public safety, where reliability, regulatory compliance and service continuity are critical.

Over the past five years, our longstanding expertise in interaction recording, analytics and workforce management has broadened into wider customer experience (CX) transformation and AI.

Joining FourNet gives us the opportunity to build on these strengths, with access to additional expertise, resources and opportunities for innovation. Both businesses also have relationships with many of the same leading technology partners, including NiCE, alongside a shared commitment to specialist expertise and excellent customer service.

David Kindness, CEO of SVL Business Solutions, said:

“SVL has a history stretching back to 1967, and the UK-wide business we have built from Glasgow reflects the expertise of our people and the trust our customers place in them.

“Choosing the right partner for the next stage was about protecting those strengths and giving our people and customers more opportunities. We know FourNet well, having worked together for many years, and we share the same commitment to specialist expertise and excellent service.

“Joining FourNet gives us the support of a larger business, access to additional capabilities and a strong platform for SVL’s continued growth.”

What does this mean for our customers?

For our customers, it’s very much business as usual, with some exciting new opportunities ahead.

Our customers will continue to work with the same people they know and trust, receiving the same personal service, specialist guidance and ongoing support they’ve come to expect from SVL.

Our Glasgow office and team remain an important part of our future, and we look forward to continuing to grow our presence in Scotland, with recruitment already underway for new roles.

As part of FourNet, we’ll be able to offer customers access to a wider team of specialists and additional capabilities across customer experience, AI and cybersecurity. Together, we can provide even more support to organisations looking to enhance their customer experience, improve operational efficiency and introduce new technologies securely and effectively.

Looking ahead together

With SVL joining the business, FourNet’s UK team now exceeds 230 people, supporting more than 450 customers, with annual revenues of around £65 million.

The acquisition strengthens FourNet’s presence in Scotland, where it already supports mission-critical customers, and brings additional specialist expertise and delivery capacity to its customer experience and AI business.

It also strengthens FourNet’s position in financial services, an area of growth where both businesses help customers improve service whilst meeting demanding security and regulatory requirements.

Richard Pennington, Co-founder and CEO of FourNet, said:

“While its heritage is Scottish, SVL has built a respected UK-wide business with talented people, longstanding customer relationships and specialist expertise developed over almost six decades. Having worked alongside the team for nearly ten years, we know the quality of its work and the care it takes with its customers.

“That is what attracted us to SVL. Its strengths in recording, analytics and workforce management complement our own, and its wider work in customer experience and AI makes this a natural next step for both businesses.

“Together, we can give customers more support as they introduce AI into everyday services, from identifying where it will help customers and staff to making sure it works securely and reliably.”

We’re incredibly proud of what we’ve achieved at SVL over almost six decades and look forward to continuing to support our customers with the same expertise, guidance and personal service they know and trust, now with even more opportunities to innovate and grow together.
