Salary: Competitive DOE

An exciting opportunity has arisen due to rapid business growth for a candidate to join SVL as a Project Manager.

You will be joining an experienced and dynamic project team that will provide you with the platform to make a significant contribution. You will be responsible for leading and providing direction to multiple I.T. deployment and migration projects to our customers throughout the UK, on time and on budget.

As a Project Manager you will work with stakeholders across the organisation to define, plan and implement a variety of projects across a wide product range, with a focus on quality.

Your main responsibilities will be:

  • Managing multiple implementations, overviewing scope, resource, schedule and financials to ensure delivery within agreed time and budget.
  • Governance of projects through initiation, design, build and support of test phases
  • Issue management, Risk assessment, analysis and planning including escalation as required
  • Development and maintenance of financial, resource and work plans.
  • Production of status reports to agreed schedule.

Essential Experience/Key Competencies:

  • Relevant experience in IT project management; project planning, management, estimation, and decision analysis skills.
  • Exceptional focus on delivery (proactive monitoring and remedial action).
  • Ability to matrix-manage a team of resources across multiple projects.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills written and verbal.
  • Problem management skills commensurate with those required to manage internal and external resources in scoping and resolution of complex issues.
  • Sound decision-making abilities when faced with complex demands and issues that can, and will, arise throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Experience managing IT suppliers and integrating them within project plan deliverables and problem resolutions.
  • Ability to understand and translate technical information in a clear and concise customer-friendly manner.
  • Excellent time management with a flexible attitude to work and the ability to pivot quickly in an ever changing environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of MS products.

Desirable Experience/Qualifications:

  • Solid technical background with an understanding of various IT technologies (Telephony, Network, Storage, Virtualisation etc.)
  • Experience managing Cloud technology focused projects.
  • Prince 2 practitioner-level certification.
