Tell us a bit about your role
As Head of Service at SVL, I lead a team covering Project Delivery, Customer Support, Technical Services and our Managed Service offerings. These are all areas I have worked in throughout my career as both a service provider and a customer.
Along with my dedicated team of service managers, we run a department that is passionate about service excellence and cloud technology, striving for the best outcomes for our customers.
What do you enjoy most about working at SVL?
You will often hear that SVL is all about our people and this is very true.
Our people are driven by a desire to deliver excellence and that’s something I very much enjoy being a part of. This goes for how we treat our customers as well as each other, meaningful and genuine support is important at all levels of our business.
Tell us about a book, film, or podcast that you’d recommend
Though a combination of driving and dog walking I consume a lot of podcast content.
The official AWS Podcast is a great source of news on their ever-evolving platform, delivered in a concise and easy-to-absorb way.
From a non-technical point of view, I’d recommend Strong Song by Kirk Hamilton. It’s a podcast that breaks down classic songs into their component parts and gives insights into what makes them so special.
