Tell us a bit about your role
My role is to support my colleagues within the sales team by helping to grow our client and partner portfolio. To achieve this, I am always looking to establish new relationships and identify new market opportunities.
Over the years I have built strong relationships with both business partners and customers alike, with many of these relationships spanning over 20 years. I strongly believe that these relationships have all been built on trust.
What do you enjoy most about working at SVL?
Working with my team. Working within SVL is all based around being part of a team whether you work in sales, support, managed services or senior management. To be successful in whatever you do you need a team of people supporting you and I believe that’s why SVL have been making a difference in the marketplace for over 55 years.
Outside of work, what are your passions or hobbies?
Outside of my role here at SVL I have been involved within grassroots football for over 15 years. Having fallen into the role of team manager due to being a parent of a player, I have supported my local football club and team since the players were 5 years of age through to the men they are today (makes me feel old).
Providing an environment in which players of all abilities and backgrounds can enjoy and thrive is my biggest achievement and gives me the most satisfaction, despite the team having won many trophies over the years.
If you could offer one piece of advice to your younger self, what would it be?
I would say relax and reflect more. Throughout my years of working in sales, I have never really taken the opportunity to take a breath, pause and look back as it’s always about what’s next. But sometimes we just need to stop, reflect, and enjoy what we have accomplished, both professionally and personally.
